2022 end-of-year update
Published on December 30, 2022 by imolorhe

Hello Altair GraphQL community!

As the year 2022 comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the amazing progress we've made in the Altair GraphQL project this year. It's been an exciting and busy year for our team, and we are so grateful for the continued support of our community.

One of the major highlights of 2022 was the addition of a remote sync functionality to Altair. This feature has been a game-changer for many developers, as it allows for seamless collaboration and sharing of GraphQL requests and collections between devices. It's been a pleasure to see the creative ways in which people have been using this feature, and we look forward to receiving more feedbacks and suggestions from you.

In addition to the remote sync functionality, we also introduced pre- and post-request scripts in collections. This has given our users even more control over their GraphQL requests, and has opened up a whole new world of possibilities for automating and streamlining their workflow.

Another exciting update in 2022 was the addition of subscription support for graphql-sse. This has made Altair even more powerful and versatile, and we've seen an outpouring of positive feedback from users who are taking advantage of this feature.

But that's not all! We also made some significant updates to the design of Altair, including a switch to CodeMirror 6, a refreshed look with new colors and icons, and several improvements to the overall developer experience. We hope that these changes have made Altair an even more enjoyable and intuitive tool to use.

As we look ahead to 2023, we have big plans for Altair. We are committed to continuing to improve the remote sync functionality, and we have some exciting ideas in the works for adding teams support before taking this feature out of the beta phase. We are also focused on listening to our community and working to solve the issues that matter most to you. If you have any suggestions or ideas for improvements, please don't hesitate to create an issue on our GitHub page.

We are so grateful for the support of our community in 2022, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated to the project. Your contributions make it possible for us to continue improving Altair and making it the best GraphQL tool out there.

We can't wait to see what 2023 has in store for the Altair GraphQL project, and we hope you'll join us on this exciting journey. Thank you for being a part of the Altair GraphQL community, and we wish you all the best for the new year.

Happy holidays and cheers to a bright future for Altair GraphQL Client!

Sincerely,
Samuel Imolorhe
