Request Details
We are targeting a release of our WebGPU renderer and plugins for Unreal Engine 5 to be publicly available in Q3 2024. We are also planning to open source certain components of our work, with the help of this funding. We will use the funds for the following features:
Unreal Engine 5.3 WebGPU plugin plus ongoing support/maintenance
Unreal Engine 5.4 WebGPU plugin plus ongoing support/maintenance
Unreal Engine 5.4 WebXR support
This will enable game studios and software companies to bring their 3D applications to Chromium-based browsers, highlighting to the industry that the browser can support compute-intensive, high fidelity applications. We will continue to fix bugs and improve performance for our WebGPU renderer for Unreal Engine 5.
