The House of Portals

Ugh, it’s so hard to do human stuff nowadays! You must figure out which event is the best investment of your time and then commit to it. No double booking! Then you must be a good parent to yourself and make sure you show up for the event at the right time, the right place, with the right mask or mascara. It’s so exhausting! And New Years is one of the worst of them. Which burn is right for you? Will your friends go to this one or that one?

This is also a burn like that. Except, once you’re in this Temporary Autonomous Zone, your path through space will liberate you from the tyranny of time. Here, all time telling devices will be checked at the entrance portal to be used only in emergencies. Our only tool for organizing ourselves, to get our needs met and to explore our desires, are portals.

A portal is an invitation, an entry point to where you may explore an alternate reality from the one you were just in. Perhaps that alternate reality is one where you find yourself cooking or eating or dancing or being sexual. Perhaps it changes your personality or the social norms of interaction. Perhaps it invites you to consider your life from a different angle. Anything might be possible in that dreamlike space between dreams and reality. Step through the gate to where you may try out ideas, flesh out visions, create vibes or imaginary worlds. Let’s transition together into the ultimate weirdness of 2025!

Some concrete details to what we’re doing and what to bring:

-Portals start opening Dec 29th and all close Jan 2nd. Latest arrival time is Dec 30th 15:00 when the entrance portal closes!

-This is a 10+1 principles event. Whether you’re old or new to them, please open a principles portal with someone and have conversation about them!

-The Space! We’ve booked the gorgeous Villa Fortuna in Malmö. Enough for 80 people in 30 bedrooms(half on mattresses). 7 living rooms. 2 kitchens. A big hall. It’s big and luxurious and shaping it into a form that twists reality is something we can only do if we all do it together. Please open a portal to your personal treasury and pull out some decorations, lights, or other space beautification implements you might have. If you happen to have access to a large treasury of such items, get in touch about budgeting to bring the goodies.

-The Adventure! Because we’re constraining co-creation to portals only, it means we won’t have our regular tools like time sheets or spaces with designated purposes available. Portals open and close timelessly and whether you pass through or not is a matter of your desire to do so at the ever-present moment. Enticing others to pass through your portal is therefore a key planning piece. Please put some thought into what portal you want to bring. See Portalcraft in the document for ideas.

-Sustenence! Maybe we do a big dinner portal at some point. Generally however, the kitchen will be self-conducted and morsel-based. Please plan to bring something delicious that will bring you great pleasure to put into someone’s mouth for their great pleasure(with consent)! Budgets for larger morsel portals are available, and the kitchen will be stocked with staple ingredients so no one starves while lost in the labyrinth.

-Squads! Bringing portals, decorations, morsels… This is a lot, isn’t it? A little much to bring all my your lonesome perhaps? If you feel so, consider forming or joining a Squad who can lift together the burdens. Help is available for you to find a squad if you need.

-Centralization! There are plenty of big jobs available to enable everyone to co-create. Get in touch if you want one.

-Price. Rental is somewhat higher than usual due to the awesomeness of the venue. Price is set to 2000 SEK (~1300DKK ~€173). A few Low Income Memberships at 1400 SEK (~900DKK ~€122) are available.

-Adults oriented. Sorry dear parents, we'll miss you!
