About
Help us keep London Trans+ Pride hydrated!
We’ve been given the opportunity to show up as Jewish people in solidarity with trans+ folks at London Trans+ Pride this year, by running the Hydration Station. A team of 20+ Jewish volunteers will be distributing 3000 bottles of water, 16kg of apples, 10kg of bananas, 12kg of satsumas, 300 packets of crisps and 240 cereal bars to people at the end of the march.
We think it's really important that we show up as Jews and provide as much material support (in this case, in the form of our labour and food/drinks) as we're able to at this moment. Transphobia is rising and is being inflamed by the media and political classes. As Jewish people, we know what it feels like to be a minoritised community which is unjustly scapegoated, demonised and targeted - this is why we want to show up for trans folks and help them stay hydrated and healthy at this really important march.
We need your help to cover the costs of the Hydration Station (namely the water/food and associated costs of hiring a van/cars to transport these goods). If you’re not able to come down and march/help us run the hydration station on the day, this is a really tangible way you can show your support!
