Join us on Sunday August 13th 2023 (1:30-5:30pm ET) to celebrate our 3rd annual Michigan Obon community event! Our Japanese Bon Festival at Cranbrook is a free public event which features Bon odori music and dance along with Japanese Taiko drumming. This year the Great Lakes Taiko Center (GLTC) collective is happy to partner with the Cranbrook Center for Collections and Research to host our #MIBON2023 festival on the historic Cranbrook campus at the Cranbrook Japanese Garden in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Pre-event MI Bon Dance Workshops will be held in Novi-Wixom (7/14) and Ann Arbor (7/23) locations.*
