GOAT booth at 2023 Indiana Small Farms Conference
PROJECT
Fiscal Host: New Mexico Community Capital
To fund the cost of a GOAT booth at the Indiana Small Farms Conference (March 2-3, 2023)
About
We funded the creation of a beautiful GOAT booth, and the Indiana Small Farms Conference would be a great conference to use it. It's gives the whole community a chance to be seen and heard, and hopefully help us all find more collaborators, users, developers, contributors, and funders and better understand communities we might serve.
We'll have people from Purdue University (OATS center, Agricultural Informatics Lab) presenting talks and focus groups. We will staff the booth for both days (March 2 & 3), and will be speaking about all the members of the GOAT community. If there are specific things from your organization you'd like to include, please contact us and we'll include them on the table.
It's not clear that we need additional funding just yet - talk to @sudokita at the community call if you are interested, email her, or message her on riot/slack/forum. We're creating this project just in case we do, as well as for transparency of contributions.
We want to raise awareness of open source in ag and the importance of building strong developer and user communities together, and support our GOAT-friends!
