Community Grief Rituals

PROJECT

Cultivating modern day communal grief practices to help us navigate personal, cultural and ecological movements towards a better relationship with loss, together.

About

What is Ritual Work?

Ritual in my/our world, is the practice of creating the space, awareness and intention to be in fuller relationship with life.

Rituals can be singular, or ongoing patterns of celebration and grieving. They can be a way of marking transitions, borderlands of the unknown. inviting in creativity and deepening our relationship with the wider animate world of plants, trees, animals, water and more.

Rituals can be personal, communal and systemic. Meaning we can do them alone, with others, and welcoming in greater awareness of the wider ancestral, ecological, cultural and cosmic systems we are a part of.

During 2023 & 2024, Nynke Vos and Jamie Colston, are collaborating together to create a space for people who want to co-create meaningful community rituals. We are hosting several taster workshops, collective conversations and recorded podcasts on specific topics in which we will share our explorations, designs and implementation stories of communal rituals, in a supportive environment.
