After a multi-year hiatus, Jaded Forum is finally back.
We want to thank those who have stuck with us through the years, as well as our new supporters helping us to get our rhythm back. Your contributions are ultimately a central factor in deciding whether or not these recorded conversations happen.
That is why we’d like to give you all a chance to be an even bigger part of them.
In addition to now being featured in the credits of each episode, and in order to express our gratitude toward the people who allow this show to continue, monthly Open Collective contributors of all tiers will now have an opportunity to ask Z, Yedoye, and future guests questions of their own, and have them answered on camera.
And while this first wave of contributor exclusives will be open to all tiers, something extra special is in the works for our “In the Trenches” donors as well.
Please begin leaving your questions below. Before our next taping, our production team will go through them and select some to surprise Z and Yedoye with. Those who donate will know who our upcoming guests are in advance and have an opportunity to ask them questions here on Open Collective too.
We look forward to continuing the conversation with you all.
Sincerely,
Sky

1. What advice would you give to a normal Joe to try implement a more community based and people serving environment around themselves and for the people around them? I understand I can’t change the world even though I hold hope that it will change, hopefully for the better in terms of a more collective and anti-capitalistic society, but that will take time. So what can I do in my personal life to ensure that I at least try to hopefully strive to create a a village and maintain it?
2. How do you find purpose in this life? You guys seem so confident and sure of yourself, I admire the certainty (or at least that’s what it seems like) you have within yourself amongst the uncertainty that life thrives in….

maybe a boring question, but what would you say to someone who thinks social democracy is the best way for humans to live?

was wondering what advice you’d offer artists from an independent point of view in this day and age?
What's up Z and Yedoye! Super happy the forum is back missed this energy.
I create content around men's hair and grooming, and one thing my audience always asks me is how much a haircut actually changes a man's confidence and the way people treat him.
So my question is do you think a man's hairstyle plays a role in how he's perceived in social situations, dating, or even professional spaces? Like, does the "right cut" actually change how people carry themselves?
Would love to hear your honest take on this especially since you guys always keep it real.

It’s great to see Jaded Forum back there’s something special about long-form conversations that really stick with people over time. Opening things up for the community to ask questions is a smart move too, it makes the whole experience feel more collaborative.
I’m curious how you decide which questions make it into the final recording do you prioritize themes, uniqueness, or relevance to the guest?
Also, on a side note, I sometimes use small online resources like this quick utility tools hub when organizing notes or prepping questions it helps streamline little tasks so I can focus more on the content itself.
Looking forward to seeing how this evolves and hearing the upcoming conversations 👏

It’s great to see Jaded Forum returning and giving supporters a role in the conversation. My question is about the SITE 92I eco-community: when developing its homes and shared facilities, how will you balance sustainability with affordability and durability in choices such as insulation, roofing, and flooring? Will reclaimed or locally sourced materials be prioritized?

2: Polyamory seems to align with a lot of the goals and values of Project Spark / Jaded in the sense that you are leaving behind feelings of possessiveness and ownership of other people and having max respect for their autonomy. However, I think the amount of personal healing it would take for most people to become comfortable with that lifestyle would be hard af. Is getting to that point an aspiration any of you have or are y'all just gonna leave that for the future generations to figure out?
3: How far do you think you will get in terms of self sufficiency with your eco-community? Do you see yourselves growing your own food and shit in your lifetime?
4: I think in some episodes of Jaded and in The Dawn of Everything people holding power over others through knowledge and experience is mentioned. Is this something you are actively trying to avoid and is there a way to do it while still allowing people the opportunity to become experts in important scientific and technological fields?
I cried tears of joy when spark.repair went up and I saw that there were people actually trying shit with real potential instead of posting about a hypothetical vanguard party coming out of nowhere and giving them orders to kill people i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you
