Holiday update 2023
Published on December 19, 2023 by Newham Solidarity Fund
Dear neighbours,
The Newham Solidarity Fund administrators and our accounting service will be taking a break over the holiday period. This means the normal schedule of payments will change for the next two weeks.
Please note that any final December payments will be made on Friday 22 December. Payments will then pause until Tuesday 2 January 2023 when January payments will be processed.

We know that times are still very difficult for people financially. We've updated our list of additional support neighbours may be able to access and shared this below:
Newham Warm Havens https://www.newham.gov.uk/warmhavens
Renewal Programme https://www.renewalprogramme.org.uk/get-support/
British Gas Energy Trust Grants https://britishgasenergytrust.org.uk/grants-available/
BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Grants https://www.familyfundservices.co.uk/emergency-essentials/
Please continue to promote the Newham Solidarity Fund to others who may need it, or who may be able to contribute. The support and solidarity of our community is what keeps us going and has helped us raise and redistribute almost £50,000 since we first opened in October 2020!
For anyone still trying to find last minute presents, don't forget to check out our beautiful Solidarity Not Charity merchandise (t-shirts and tote bags) available for purchase through our social media pages (@newhamsolidarityfund on Instagram & Facebook and @NewhamSFund on Twitter)! The print was designed by local artist Maryam Huq (@vividbymaryam on Instagram) and funded by a grant from our accounting service the Social Change Nest. All proceeds from the sales of the merchandise go straight into the Fund.
That's all for now, we wish you all a joyful and restful holiday season and a happy new year. See you in 2024!
