Thank you to everyone who supported the drive to make care packages for unaccompanied minor migrants. Last Sunday recently arrived migrants at Stockton and long time residents of Myrtle Broadway got together to make the packages. There was homecooked Mauritanian food, free haircuts and more than enough supplies for the care packages. Schoolchildren from Flatbush contributed supplies and cards as well. @recirculation.nyc held their own event, to assemble packages on the same day as well. With so much extra, we decided to give the rest to the Bedstuy Garden to distribute. It all went down as it should, we made the call, organized with what we had together and more people mobilized in solidarity.
