In 2024, I (Till) was invited to give a workshop at a symposium on local youth policy (Fachtagung kommunale Jugendpolitik der LAG Jugendringe NRW) to talk about the OpenElectionCompass. We gave an introduction to the tool, how to properly implement it and shared our experience of the last 5 years. A symposium like this keeps the project alive and encourages new people to use the tool for their own projects. For the upcoming elections in Northrhine-Westfalia, Germany, we plan on providing a new interface to deploy the tool more easily and collect responses by the parties / candidates.
