Welcome back my wonder lovelies :)

So what's been going on since the return from holidays...well slow and steadily Opt Out Tools is still moving forward.

What's gone down

- We won our frist grant of $250 thanks to MG and @icculus (Twitter handle)..if you want to see further details scroll up!

- This inspired our new drive to get a crowdfunding campaign developed as soon as possible! The wonderful JJ is taking this in his mighty stride :)

- JJ has begun our branding guidelines, this is a one-stop shop for all Opt Out Tools brand ideas, content inspiration and design influence.

- Massive thanks AW and RH for their PRs!

- Huge thank you to @Lucie for the feedback on the content & SK for the review too -> it keeps getting better at each iteration

- We had our first meeting with the users, Erika & Florie from Take Back the Tech. They plan to write up a call to action for people to use the browser extension, as long as general contacts/inspiration

- The European Commission has brought out some funding that fits us to a T : Call for proposals to prevent and combat all forms of violence against children, young people and women

- I spoke to a lawyer last week about Opt Out Tools and creating a non-profit vs. NGO. There is something in germany called an .UG we will look into

- We're planning on starting an Opt Out Tools bookclub! This will be a chance for someone to pick some articles and everyone read them to discuss at the meetup. It's an opportunity to share what we're working on with one another and two or more heads are better than one!

To come...

- This weekend me and AP are meeting to discuss an NLP strategy

- I head to Brussels for PrivacyCamp.eu: Defending digital civic space: how to counter digital threats against civil society, The impact of surveillance on today’s kids – tomorrow’s human rights activists, Internet for All – Silenced and Harassed No More! are the talks I shall be attending!

- We have our first meetup on Thursday

- Verein or not
