Spring is in full swing, and with it comes time for reflection, growth, and change. Since we stopped receiving food for distribution through a pandemic relief program, our mission has been singular: distributing diapers and wipes to our community every Monday, rain or shine. Realizing that the word “pantry” no longer applies to what we do, we’ve decided it’s time for a new name. Introducing, Rain or Diaper Fund & Distro! Apart from the name change and a little graphic redesign, we’re still the same dedicated group of volunteers who meet every Monday at The Living Gallery and give out many packs of diapers and wipes, which come to us through fundraising and donations. It’s your support that keeps us going, and we thank you!
This Thursday, May 18, please join us at The Living Gallery (1094 Broadway BK) from 6pm - 11pm where we will have a fundraising table as part of the gallery’s annual BYO art night. This is a wonderful community event where anyone can come and hang up art — for display or for sale — and mingle with other artists and neighbors. No prior registration is required, just show up! We’ll be in the backyard pouring natural wines by the glass (thanks to sponsor Forêt wines,) cooking up melty grilled cheeses, and cracking open cold beers. All donations will go to purchasing diapers and wipes for next Monday’s distro.
