Rounding out 2023

Throughout 2023, we faced a mix of obstacles and triumphs, often intertwined. However, our most persistent challenge was being a very small team, which caused numerous difficulties and required us to be innovative in our approaches and strategies to overcome them.
Despite these challenges, we were fortunate to have a committed and compassionate group of individuals who generously gave their time and/or monetary support each month to ensure that we could achieve our goals. Nothing we have done could have been possible without these people and the people who provided us support in all aspects of our lives. We learned that we need to focus on adding more people to our team to continue building a healthy and sustainable group. In 2023, we took more time to set boundaries and practice honesty with ourselves about what we had time and energy to give. We plan to continue and improve upon this practice in 2024.
Similar to last years goals we are constantly working toward expanding our CSA and Commissary program this way we can offer support to more people who have been forcibly removed from their community and support systems by a cruel and abusive carceral system. We also aim to expand our gardens clubs which are integral to making the CSA possible. We look forward to 2024 and all it has to bring.
