Donors' Privacy Options
Published on December 6, 2023 by Tessa Price
Hi y'all!
Thank you for the support with this our new Open Collective as we get to know the new platform.
We have heard prospective donors ask if they can contribute privately, and while we cannot change that on our end, donors can contribute in a couple different ways that can enhance privacy options. We have reached out to Open Collective, and received this lovely help document:
If you already have an Open Collective account, you can contribute incognito to protect your privacy. Alternatively, if you contribute as a Guest, you can omit or edit your "Full Name" field that will be publicly accessible.
Please reach out if you have any questions.
Appreciate you,
Trans Advocacy Madison

I'm curious if this money is going into a bucket on here. That $791 might be needed as we approach the RNC and see greater attacks on trans rights.
That's a good question. That money has been partially used to repay bail for those impacted last year. The remainder (I would estimate about half) remains in our general account and is included in totals listed on our OpenCollective. Some portion of this account will be used to cover taxes, but otherwise we should still have some decent amount set aside for a legal fund within our general funds.
