Hello TAC,
I'm currently facing an urgent situation where I received a summon from the council, bringing me to court on 9 Feb because I haven't paid the council tax. Whilst I was awaiting a response on the status of Council Tax Reduction Application, I have been summoned to court because I haven't been able to respond to the letter they 'sent out' for additional information, of which I haven't received, neither physically or digitally. For the record, I subscribed to E-notices from the council website because the mails I get often get thrown out or taken away by the landlord, but still I didn't get any E-notice. This came to me as a shock, and the council deemed it as inaction and cancelled my application, now I'm being called to court for failing to make my Council Tax.
I went to the Hyb at Cardiff Central Library after getting this letter to clear the miscommunications, however they told me that I have no access council tax reduction because I'm not entitled to public funds because I'm not a citizen. This is a contradicting information from what I researched. I, initially applied for Council Tax Reduction due to unemployment, now they're saying I still need to pay for it despite my status.
In this grant, I applied for the full amount for the council to close my case. Though, I understand TAC might not be able to approve the full sum. I'm desperate right now, and I would appreciate any monetary help I can get.
I'm happy to provide any additional information for clarification, if I haven't provided necessary information in this message, as I'm still quite shaken by this.
Thank you for the consideration.

Please also let us know how much you need (max. £60 per month) and what you need it for (eg. bills, food, debt etc etc) in the "additional invoice information" box.
We don't allow reoccurring grants set through open collective, we ask that you don't set your grant to reoccur automatically as it adds strain to our grant team and can create duplicate expenses.
