About
I just got here!!! Earlier today (20230618) I got upset by the dynamics of this Q&A forum interaction: https://superuser.com/questions/1789144/what-are-the-negative-risks-of-using-a-fido-u2f-usb-key-like-googles-titan-with. My first participation in the stack exchange was 11 years ago, but the community has become arrogant and arbitrary. After I once more recognized that as a member of a community owned by private interest, I am utterly powerless, and felt the urge to look for something better. So I searched on Google for "distributed open source and collectively owned social media" and found this post https://medium.com/open-collective/social-coop-a-cooperative-decentralized-social-network-c10980c9ed91
As I wrote in my membership application to social.coop, I LOVE the concept of social equality, and I am demoralized by arbitrariness, capriciousness, and corruption. I want to own and shape the environments in which I spend my time and energy. I want to commune with members who embody and expect fairness, honesty, and equity.
So here I am, following through with what was set before me.
