Update: Community Calls & Slow Travel Mini Festival is live 🎉
Published on May 14, 2021 by Manon Brulard
Dear WTMG supporters,
We hope you are all doing well! It's already been a month since our last update so here's what we've been up to:
1. Community Night Calls
On April 28th, we had our first community night call to discuss our roadmap for 2021. We were 8 volunteers & had together lots of ideas on how to improve Welcome To My Garden. More coming your way soon! 🌱
2. We launched a Slow Travel Mini Festival!
This festival is a series of 8 online workshops geared towards growing our community travel skills and knowledge. The first one will take place on 03 June and is called 'The 1001 ways of slow travelling' - where we'll hear the tips & tricks of slow travellers on foot, bicycles, kayaks or donkeys. You can find the list of all the workshops here.
The Slow Mini Travel Fest also works as a fundraiser for Welcome To My Garden. As you know, Welcome To My Garden is free to use, but we do incur costs to develop the platform and to keep it up and running. That is why we're asking the community to contribute by buying a ticket to access these workshops.
Take care, safe slow travels and until next month! 💚
