About

Help Alnarp's Agroecology Farm Thrive Through Winter and Rebuild After a Devastating Fire
At Alnarp's Agroecology Farm, we believe in the power of sustainable agriculture and the resilience of communities working together. As a non-for profit organisation with a small-scale market garden we have spent the last few years growing not just vegetables, berries and herbs, but a vision for an agroecological future.
Our mission has always been clear: to cultivate food in a regenerative way, while fostering community around the values of sustainability, education, and environmental stewardship. This spring, we took a big leap forward by expanding our gardens, trippling our production, and opening our doors to more volunteers, students, and community members than ever before. We did so to ensure the longevity of the project by hiring four of our members to carry the most workload of the production and organisational tasks.
But now, as winter approaches, we are facing a new and urgent challenges, and we need your help to secure the future of our farm.

Why We Need Your Support
After pouring all of our resources into the farm's expansion this year, we now find ourselves at a critical stage. We need to secure the payment for our dedicated working team over the winter months as well as investments for the next seasons, so we can continue the important work of organisational work, crop planning, seed orders, investments into infrastructure, teaching, and applying for future funding. Our goal is to make Alnarp's Agroecology Farm a self-sufficient, sustainable operation year-round. But without the necessary funds to support our core team this winter, the future of the farm could be at risk.
Winter is a critical time for  planning, applying for funding, and continuing to build the systems that will allow the farm to thrive in the future. By supporting us now, you are ensuring that the momentum we’ve built doesn’t stop, and that we can continue to grow into the vibrant, agroecological hub we know it can be.

A Fire Changed Everything
If that wasn’t enough, we recently experienced a devastating fire that has struck the farm and now endangers the entire project. Our beloved outdoor kitchen, including our clay ovens—once a center for community activity and an important income stream—was completely destroyed. These ovens were a stable income stream and a central piece of community building. We did not only loose the materials and time and energy that were needed to build the kitchen but also the income we could have generated in the coming months.
Through the fire the farm has reached a new level of need for support. It has made us push the reach out for help much earlier then intended and also expanded the dimensions substantially.
Rebuilding our outdoor kitchen will allow us to secure a stable income stream year around, restore an essential space for community connection by offering workshops, events, and meals that bring people together around the values we hold dear.

Your Chance to Make a Difference
We originally planned to launch this crowdfunding campaign during our Harvest Party on the 12th of October, but after the fire, it became clear that we can’t wait. We are asking for your support now because the future of Alnarp’s Agroecology Farm depends on it.
By contributing to our crowfunder, you are not just helping us through the winter or rebuilding a kitchen—you are becoming a part of our community. A community that believes in the power of agroecology, in local food systems, and in building resilient, sustainable communities.
Now, more than ever, we need our community to come together. Your support will help us secure the wages of our hardworking team, rebuild the clay ovens that bring people together, and ensure that Alnarp’s Agroecology Farm can continue to grow and thrive for years to come.

How Your Support Will Be Used
Securing the next season: Ensuring that the dedicated people who keep the farm running can continue their work through the colder months, preparing for the next growing season, applying for funding, and ensuring our long-term sustainability.
Rebuilding Our Outdoor Kitchen and Clay Ovens: These are not just essential for generating income through events and workshops but are a vital part of our community's heart and soul. With your help, we can rebuild this space and bring people back together.

Join Us on This Journey
If you’ve ever wanted to support a local, agroecological, and community-driven project, now is your chance. Whether you’ve visited our farm before or are just learning about us today, we welcome you to join us on this journey of resilience and regeneration.
Together, we can rebuild, regrow, and continue our process of working towards an an agroecological future for farming and education. Thank you for your support.
