About
The Critical Approaches to Libraries Conference (CALC) is a conference that aims to provide a space to discuss all aspects of critical practice in libraries and librarianship including (but not limited to) decolonisation, critical pedagogy, equality, diversity and inclusion in library work and representation of marginalised groups in the workforce, academia and literature.
In 2023 we are running 2 events - our first in-person event (CALC in Cambs) plus our main conference which takes place online in May.
CALC's organisers are Darren Flynn (he/him) and Michelle Bond (she/her), two academic librarians working in the Midlands.
