Degrowth Aotearoa

DANZ is an independent organisation, dedicated to working to enable collective wellbeing within ecological limits.

We recognise that degrowth is a very broad movement, so we want to highlight that this is our approach, and that there are many other valid approaches. Policy development needs to be an evolving process.  

We are committed to advocating for degrowth through education and collaboration, and by helping people understand through various mechanisms. 
 

As a completely independent, people-powered community, every dollar you give will be used to further the potential impact of DANZ. Regular contributions ensure we can be bold and move quickly, as well as plan ahead with confidence and certainty. By covering the core costs of keeping the lights on (desk rental in co-working spaces, WiFi, staff time), your support makes it possible to sustain our efforts on those important issues that take longer than a news cycle to achieve change.

We rely entirely on individual donations and grants. We receive no government funding and we don't accept money from pokies. Our team works hard to ensure even the smallest contributions go a long way. No amount is too small, and all donations will help keep us active. There is so much more to do: reality-checking, collaborating with partners, developing strategic projects, and ultimately working to enable collective wellbeing within ecological limits on all levels.
