Taiko is rooted in Japanese music traditions and continues to grow today as a global cultural arts movement that amplifies imagination, uplifts spirits, and builds community.

When you contribute to our GLTC Taiko Arts Collective, you help us develop programs that provide learning opportunities in our local communities, support performing artists in their practice and play, and create cultural connections in our experiences together – to share the Joy of Taiko!

Our collective works and plays towards a solidarity economy for a just and thriving society, in partnership with Open Collective Foundation (our first nonprofit fiscal host in 2023) and in local organizational affiliation with NEW Center (our nonprofit fiscal sponsor starting Summer 2024) and CultureSource for arts and culture in SE Michigan. We accept contributions and payments to the Great Lakes Taiko Center (GLTC) Taiko Arts Collective with a transparent budget on this financial/legal/tech platform of Open Collective.
