Help Yourself

Help Yourself!, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that plants public access fruit trees in public places in Western Massachusetts, free for all to harvest from.

Maintained by volunteer stewards, our orchards restore abundance to the commons with shared harvests of fruit, herbs, vegetables and flowers to the community, and create meaningful ways to connect with public landscapes. We ignite excitement and curiosity about perennial agriculture, food access and land use, as we strengthen bonds between communities and the land we are all part of.

Ignored and unused spaces are transformed into delicious and productive forest gardens where fruit and nut trees, berry bushes and useful herbs replace grass and gravel. We create opportunities for people to meaningfully connect with the land and other species through volunteer opportunities and workshops that empower participants with stewardship skills.
