About

London Pattern Club was established in April 2023 with the aim of exploring algorithmic creative practices – such as creative coding, knitting and weaving – through affordable talks and workshops. We aim to offer a space for people interested in algorithmic art to connect, share their work and collaborate.

We currently hold a monthly craft group at The Glitch, Waterloo. Here, we explore algorithmic craft practices, such as braiding, weaving, knitting and crochet, as well as digital design and fabrication. We also host one-off workshops at The Glitch on topics relating to creative coding, art and design. You can find out more about our events and RSVP via Eventbrite.

London Pattern Club is led by James Walker, a live-coding musician and algorithm enthusiast, and Marysia Tańska, associate lecturer at the UAL Creative Computing Institute.

If you would like to collaborate with us, please contact us via one of our social media channels – we would love to hear from you!
