The collective here on "opencollective"  is to raise funding for the ongoing costs of providing the service long term. Costs are incurred for (but not limited to) server and domain rental, cloud storage, email relays. Through this website you can donate money to contribute to these costs, and transparently see how we are spending the money kindly given by our community to finance our expenses.
