Purdy Giles

I'm Purdy Giles. A non- Practising Social Worker, from a Sikh Punjabi background. I have been a sole trader since 2019, delivering workshops, talks, demos and courses in Punjabi Cuisine. In doing so, I have reclaimed my Cultural Heritage in a way that honours me as a British Asian female. Integrating my professional skills into the work I now do has lead me to a place where I want to share the therapeutic benefits of cooking together, sharing stories and a meal where everyone is equal. I want to expand my offering to those who may not be able to afford what I offer, and would benefit greatly. Hence my wish to have a Community Interest arm of my business to access grant funding to serve my community more widely. 
I feel that I've come home to myself, and want to share my journey and the food of my homeland to educate, inspire and nourish!!
