About
Mayday Space has been an integral part of movement building in NY for a decade – serving as a home-base for community coalitions and grassroots collectives to grow, lead, and create change.
We need to raise $75k in three months to keep the lights on, doors open, and our programming, classes, and space-bookings going.
Every dollar and cent helps, no matter how big or small!
Countless organizations, member-based groups, and independent projects have used Mayday's classroom, library, art room, kitchen, and great hall as a place for fellowship, movement building, community events, and partner-programs.
Over the years, we've hosted fundraisers, mutual aid distributions, art-builds, and direct-action strategy sessions – in addition to our own in-house programming at Mayday Space as well as out in the local community.
We've always strived to be transparent, accountable, and keep our doors open for folks who need space to gather, create, and make change possible.
We’re here for you, and with you.
Unfortunately, our rent increased, inflation burned a hole in our pockets, too, and grant funding has either dried up or is being held up by bureaucratic processes.
We need your help right now or we’ll have to close our doors!
We hope our community and folks who care about grassroots movement building will support us in our time of need as we have for so many others in theirs.
We've never been able to do this work without the support of our community. Thank you for showing up in our time of greatest need, giving all that you can, and responding to this call to action.
In Solidarity,
The Mayday Collective
