About
We are a grassroots football team based in a small village called Sleights on the outskirts of Whitby, North Yorkshire. The club started off by setting up a junior team back in 2018. This gave young people in the area the opportunity to get active by participating in playing a team sport. Since 2018, our small club has expanded to five junior teams, with a view to expand even further and eventually have a senior team for the children to progress to once they reach the senior age group.
We currently play football matches on Sunday mornings in the Teesside Junior Football Alliance League. Each team has training sessions once a week. We have a team of FA qualified volunteers within the club who are committed to making grassroots football enjoyable for all children involved at our football club.
This collective is a whole club collective which is used to receive any incoming grant money the club receive. It can then be used to pay for whole club expenses such as updating volunteer FA qualifications such as DBS checks safeguarding courses and FA coaching courses. Other expenses include league fees and insurances.
