About
Queering Lunar New Year Project is Wales' first ever lunar new year event group, brought to you by the queer East/Southeast Asian (ESEA) community in Wales. Queering Lunar New Year is an annual dual-event which aims to showcase the culture of Lunar New Year as defined by the queer ESEA folks through the form of a feast and festival. Each event focuses on different aspect of Lunar New Year celebration. The FEAST highlights the gastronomical aspect of the celebration, which to many who celebrate see as the core-spirit part of the occasion. Whereas the FEST is an exhibition of storytelling through the form of performance, cultural exchange, story sharing and craft selling.
