The 1k Project for Ukraine

The 1k Project for Ukraine is dedicated to providing direct cash relief to Ukrainian families affected by the war, in a scalable way, leveraging technology, trusted referrals, and accountability.

Our primary focus is on supporting female-led households and families with three or more children who are currently facing economic hardships and residing in close proximity to the front line.

As of June 1, 2024, the project has raised over $11.5 million, enabling us to support more than 11,000 families and close to 41,000 children. Our initiative has also been widely covered by the media like CNN, CNBC, or Bloomberg Technology.

However, we can only issue tax receipts to donors resident in one of these countries: Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Denmark and Czech Republic.

--> As our fiscal sponsor in the US has ceased its activities, please note that tax receipts are temporarily unavailable for US based donors, but we still accept donations.

To ensure the utmost transparency and maximize the impact of every donation, our team does not take any fees. 92-94% of the funds goes to the families, while 6-8% is used by Open Collective to cover their costs and improve services.
