Founders, Donors and WWC Community:

We’re sure by now that you’ve seen the message from OCF that they’re shutting down this division of their operations, and it affects over 600 collectives (Womanist Working Collective included). If you haven’t you can read OCF’s update here.

As such, we’ve decided to pause and pivot: to gather ourselves and to continue to make community-centered, intentional decisions regarding our next fiscal sponsor.

WWC and the community of folks we serve have benefitted immensely from your contributions. We can’t tell you how much your commitment to being advocates, allies, and accomplices means to us. There’s no words but we do have data:
◦ $15,000 funded and donated to Black Liberation Therapy Fund (BLTF) last year
◦ Over $21,000 funded and donated to the Safety Net(work)
◦ Thousands of dollars funded and donated to supplies for community events, training for Co-Organizers and WWC sustainability

OCF will stop receiving donations March 15th 2024, but we can still send out grants until September. To the recipients of BLTF, we will continue processing your grants on OCF’s platform for now.

We will notify our community as soon as we identify and establish a new system that meets our needs. If any of you know of trusted, vetted platforms, please share them with us in the comments.
